  • What is ProFood Tech?

    ProFood Tech is a biennial event designed to showcase the latest innovations and technologies for all sectors of the food and beverage processing industry, including baking and snack; beverage; frozen and prepared foods; dairy; ingredients; and meat, poultry and seafood.

  • What are the show dates and exhibit hours?

  • How do I book a hotel?

    Book online through the ProFood Tech Hotel Reservation Office (Expovision) for discounted room rates and complimentary shuttle bus service between your hotel and McCormick Place. For assistance, you may contact Expovision by email at [email protected] or call:

  • Will there be shuttle bus service from the hotels to the convention center?

    Yes. Complimentary shuttle buses will run between official ProFood Tech hotels and McCormick Place.

  • Can I take the Metra to McCormick Place?

    Yes, Metra train service is available between downtown Chicago and McCormick Place. For further information on Metra, visit metrarail.com

  • How do I reserve a scooter or wheelchair?

    Scootaround, Inc., is the official onsite provider of wheelchairs and scooters at the show. Visit locations.scootaround.com/profoodtech for more information and to make a reservation.

Attendee Questions

  • Will my badge be mailed to me?

    If you register early enough, yes. We will begin mailing badges in February. To receive your badge in the mail, attendees outside of the U.S. must register on or before February 8; attendees in the U.S. must register on or before March 1. After these dates, you will need to pick up your badge in Chicago.

  • Are there age restrictions at ProFood Tech?

    Yes. No person under the age of 14 is allowed on the show floor, before, during or after the show.  No strollers are allowed on the show floor.

Exhibitor Questions

  • How can I become an Exhibitor at ProFood Tech?

    To apply for booth space, complete an Exhibit Space Application. Past exhibitors may use their current password to complete the space application. New exhibitors must be qualified in order to purchase a booth space. A date and time will be assigned to your company to select your booth space.

  • What is the cost per square foot to exhibit?

    The current rate is $31 per square foot. PMMI and IDFA Member space rates vary. If you are a PMMI Member and would like to know your space rate, please call 571-612-3200. Drayage/material handling is included in your space rate, provided your shipment/truck checks in at McCormick Place by 2:00 pm on your assigned targeted move-in date.

  • What is drayage?

    Drayage is the moving of the exhibitor’s machinery, etc., off the exhibitor’s truck at the dock to the exhibitor’s booth and back to the dock to be loaded back onto the truck. This is included in the price of the exhibitor’s booth space. 

  • What is the payment schedule for booth space?

    Final payments for exhibitors who applied earlier are due November 12, 2018. Full payment is due with the space application for any booths booked after November 12, 2018.

  • What are the height regulations?

    Booths that are less than 1,500 square feet have a maximum 12’ height restriction, booths that are 1,500 square feet and over have a maximum 18’ height restriction. Setback and line-of-sight rules apply.

  • Where can I get a copy of the Rules & Regulations?

    The Pro Food Tech Rules & Regulations are posted online and will be emailed to you. If you would like an additional hard copy of the rules, contact [email protected] or 571-612-3200.

  • Can I change my target move-in date?

    You can request a change to your target dates by emailing Jim Roche at [email protected].

  • How many complimentary booth personnel badges do we receive?

    Exhibitors receive one (1) complimentary booth personnel badge for every 75 sq. ft. of contracted space or fraction thereof. E.g., 100 sq. ft. = 2 badges, 200 sq. ft. = 3 badges, etc.

  • How can I improve my priority point standing?

    Each exhibitor is assigned a priority point for space selection. PACK EXPO East, PACK EXPO Las Vegas, PACK EXPO International, Healthcare Packaging EXPO and ProFood Tech hold separate priority standings. By exhibiting continuously, and those ahead of you in priority not exhibiting, an exhibitor begins to move up the priority point system. Choosing not to exhibit at PACK EXPO Las Vegas, PACK EXPO International, Healthcare Packaging EXPO, or PACK EXPO East shows does not affect your ProFood Tech priority.

  • How do I log in to the Exhibitor Dashboard?

    The Show Contact for your company will receive an email with an ID and a password to log in to your Exhibitor Dashboard. If you have not received this password or are having trouble logging in, please have the show contact call the PMMI Show Department at 571-612-3200 or email [email protected]. Passwords will only be given out to the Show Contact on file.

  • What is the cancellation policy?

    For cancellations received by November 12, 2018, the exhibitor will forfeit any monies paid to date up to 75%. For cancellations received after November 12, 2018, the exhibitor is obligated to pay the total cost of space assigned.

  • How do I populate my company information for inclusion in the online directory?

    Your company name and booth number are automatically included in the online directory (Exhibitor Search). To add information such as your company description, vertical markets, product categories and press releases, log in to the Exhibitor Dashboard.  

    Please note: the printed ProFood Tech Show Guide lists only exhibiting company names, company address, website, phone and booth numbers. All other information you wish to convey to attendees about your company should be in your online company profile.

  • Per the EU GDPR regulations, is it legal to contact attendees for marketing purposes if they have allowed an exhibitor to scan their badge?

    Yes, if an attendee allows an exhibitor to scan their badge, then he/she is giving permission to be contacted.
